Make PD more interactive and open to personalization

How many times have I sat passively in a PD session thinking 1.) that I have already attended sessions that delivered this content and feel ready to accelerate my learning? 2.) that I have found better solutions myself than the ones being offered in the PD? Teachers should be active participants, have the ability to progress beyond the content, and the opportunity to disagree with presenters (citing evidence) and present improved solutions. After all, experienced teachers are educational experts.
