Gates Foundation

I am passionate about helping each educator take the problem solving ability they apply in their classrooms every day and apply that skill to improve education systems. I started my career as an elementary school teacher in Harlem, New York City, and am now a program officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where I work to improve K-12 professional development. I also designed and delivered literacy professional development at the New Jersey Department of Education and was the director of research and development at Wireless Generation. I’m excited to be a Redesign Challenge Guide because this site offers a new way for teachers to learn from each other, share ideas, and try them out.
