In Stage 1, we heard that watching a video by itself isn’t often helpful.
Teachers, and students, need exemplars and models when embarking on new activities or attempting to use technologies or skills that are new to them. I would love to create a website dedicated just to models of student work--great Prezi's, awesome iMovies, clear and clever writing pieces, above average PowerPoints, musical pieces and art work.
Teachers can use the site to fish for ideas and projects (assignments, descriptors, criteria and project rubrics would be posted). Then, teachers and students can see the magic of student creativity. If parents allowed, I would love to include contact info so students could even collaborate.
It would be easy to implement. Build the site, share with educators locally, LinkedIn, Twitter, FB, whatever works. On my website, click on The Giver Project and also Fabulous Student work.
