How might we enrich video with other resources or experiences so that it better supports your practice?

In Stage 1, we heard that watching a video by itself isn’t often helpful.

Hi Angelique, I LOVE the idea of Meet Up groups. Put a group of like minded individuals together and great things happen. I am curious how you would plan to incorporate video into this idea. Would videos be watched during the Meet Ups then discussions occur surrounding the video? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Hello Heidi and thanks for your feedback. Videos would be a part of the group sessions, but their utilization would depend on the needs of the teachers. I a particular strategy is being focused upon, a snippet or portion of a video might be sufficient to solicit engaging and stimulating conversation and discussion from the group. The goal is to enable teachers to not just acquire new knowledge, but to look at existing knowledge from a different lens and learn from like-minded colleagues how to best put this new knowledge into practice.
