Highlighting PD Videos

Educators across the nation are becoming familiar with the advancements of technology. With these advancements, technology is allowing educators to share ideas, strategies, tips, and much more with each other. Developing a network system that highlights the various PD videos created by teachers to better support others in the classroom. Educators who submit videos of effective practices would be highlighted weekly through this network system. The network system could consist of weekly newsletters that are shared via social media formats (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).

Potential Impact

The impact of this project would allow educators to have a great supply of PD videos that are real and effective to the practice or content the educator is seeking. Also, educators will be able to connect and network with other educators of the PD videos for refining and retuning their practice or instruction.

Possible Implementation

The implementation of this project would be developed with a networking system that educators could join. PD videos would be submitted by educators and highlighted weekly to other educators via social media or email. The PD videos would be categorized by topic, content, grade-level, etc. Also, educators highlighted would be able to share their knowledge and effective practice via webinar.

Hi Troy, what a great idea of using social media sites that are already flooded with educators to engage PL videos. I want to make sure that I totally follow and I have a couple of questions. Would educators be creating their own videos and sharing or sharing videos that they found useful? Where would the videos be submitted so that they could be shared through the various social media? Thank you for sharing!

Great idea, Troy! Is sounds a little like Teaching Channel, but more a crowd-sourcing effort. I'd like to hear more about it.
