A global community of educators who close the achievement gap by improving their own practice. The Local Model, described under "possible implementation," can be adapted within and between school districts, states, and countries. Novice teachers as well as experienced and veteran educators (National Board, Fishman Award winners, etc.) can also make their practice public and improve upon it. As collaboration among educators increases, so will student achievement.
